Recap: South Bend Clay Colonials vs. Glenn Falcons
The South Bend Clay Colonials fell victim to the Glenn Falcons''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They had to suffer through a rough 64-0 loss at the hands of the Falcons. South Bend Clay has struggled against Glenn recently, as their match on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Chase Miller had a dynamite game for Glenn, rushing for 98 yards and a touchdown on only five carries, while also throwing for 88 yards and three touchdowns. Mason Kobelt also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
South Bend Clay's defeat was their seventh straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-6. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 4.6 points per game. As for Glenn, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-4.
South Bend Clay does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Glenn will look to defend their home field on Friday against Fairfield at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (Fairfield is ranked 138th, while Glenn is ranked 120th).
