Volleyball Game Preview: Limon Badgers vs. Burlington Cougars

Limon has gone 8-2 against Burlington recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Badgers will look to defend their home court against the Cougars at 6:30 p.m. Limon has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with nine straight losses, while Burlington will come in with three straight wins.

Limon came up short against Calhan on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-15, 25-12.

Despite the defeat, Limon saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Braelyn Malcom had 11 digs and four aces. Malcom is also crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 12 every time she's taken the court this season.

Meanwhile, Burlington posted their closest victory since September 25th on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Idalia 3-2.

Burlington was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 26-28, 25-16, 18-25, 25-21, 15-9.

Burlington's win bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Limon, their loss dropped their record down to 1-14.

Limon suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Burlington when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Badgers, Karina Estrada (who had 16 digs and three aces) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
