Basketball Recap: Timpview Takes a Loss

Timpview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 62-47 bruising from the Skyridge Falcons. The Thunderbirds were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

Skyridge got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Lily Grant out in front who went 6-for-9 en route to 17 points. The dominant performance also gave Grant a new career-high in steals (two). Another player making a difference was Elena Chiara, who posted 11 points along with six assists and four steals.

Timpview's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Skyridge, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Timpview will challenge Lehi at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Skyridge, they will take on Copper Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
