The Garland Owls will challenge the Rowlett Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Garland is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 26.4 points per game this season.

Garland made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Naaman Forest, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Owls fell just short of the Rangers by a score of 20-17 on Thursday. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Although Garland took the loss, they still got scores from Sam Marshall and Erick Lemus.

Even if they lost, Garland's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Cade McCay refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself. Garland got some further help from McCay: he picked up 1.5 sacks and made eight total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, Rowlett was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap last Friday as they fell 21-17 to Naaman Forest.

Garland's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-3. As for Rowlett, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Garland strolled past Rowlett in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a score of 17-0. Do the Owls have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
