Soccer Recap: Stony Point Comes Up Short

Stony Point was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Round Rock Dragons, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 382nd, while the Dragons are ranked 13th).

Stony Point's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10-1. As for Round Rock, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-1-2 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Vandegrift the next time they take the pitch. Round Rock will host Vandegrift at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, while Stony Point will host them at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
