Soccer Game Preview: Howland vs. Marlington

The Howland Tigers will face off against the Marlington Dukes at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Howland's favor is that they have posted at least four goals in their last three matchups.

On Monday, Howland made easy work of Boardman and carried off a 5-2 win. Considering Howland have won seven matches by more than two goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, after soaring to four goals the game before, Marlington was a bit more limited in their contest on Monday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Canton Central Catholic.

Marlington's loss dropped their record down to 5-9-2. As for Howland, their victory bumped their record up to 9-4-3.

Howland took their win against Marlington in their previous matchup back in September of 2024 by a conclusive 8-1 score. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Dukes turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
