Basketball Recap: Twin Loup Takes a Loss

Twin Loup was the 46-45 winner over Chambers/Wheeler Central when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Twin Loup Wolves fell 56-47 to the Chambers/Wheeler Central Renegades on Tuesday.

Despite the loss, Twin Loup saw an underclassman step up: freshman Yahya Harris went 8 for 19 on his way to 24 points in addition to six boards and five assists. With that strong performance, Harris is now averaging an impressive 2.2 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Luqman Harris, who posted ten points.

Elijah Heinz went supernova for Chambers/Wheeler Central, going 9 of 14 on his way to 24 points and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Beau Butterfield, who put up 14 points.

Twin Loup's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Chambers/Wheeler Central, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Twin Loup didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 65-56 victory against Ansley/Litchfield on the 10th. As for Chambers/Wheeler Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 42-40 loss against Creighton on the 9th.
