Last Thursday, Christian Community was fully in charge, breezing past Oak Ridge Christian Academy 49-18 at home. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 26-5.
Christian Community's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from A.C. Caverly, who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Makenzie Rigsby, who scored 8 points along with 4 steals.
Meanwhile, Clarksville Christian put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Pleasant View Christian 59-13 on the road. Fans of Clarksville Christian have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
Clarksville Christian relied on the efforts of Alessia Nesbitt, who scored 12 points along with 5 steals, and Lauren Hassell, who scored 11 points along with 5 steals. Nesbitt continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Alexandria Anderson was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 3 steals.
The victory got Christian Community back to even at 1-1. As for Clarksville Christian, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.
Christian Community took a serious blow against Clarksville Christian when the teams last played back in January, falling 57-15.
