Basketball Recap: Whitman Extends Road Winning Streak to Six

Whitman won the last time they faced Wootton and things went their way on Friday too. The Whitman Vikings snuck past the Wootton Patriots with a 62-57 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

When it comes to explaining why Wootton lost, don't look at Maya Bellamy. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double with 26 points and 13 boards. The dominant performance gave Bellamy a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Malia Bellamy, who posted five points in addition to 13 rebounds and five assists.

Whitman's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.5 points over those games.
