Football Recap: Bartlett Yancey Victorious

Bartlett Yancey gave up the first points on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They snuck past the Carver Yellowjackets with a 34-30 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Buccaneers.

Among those leading the charge was Keith Nunnally-Mayo, who threw for 131 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also rushed for 42 yards and one TD.

Bartlett Yancey didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Carver to a completion percentage of just 35.3%. That dominant aerial defense primarily came from three players: Nunnally-Mayo, Jeshua Garland, and Dalleon Johnson, who each logged one passes deflected. Bartlett Yancey wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 50%.

Despite the loss, Carver still got an impressive performance from Derrick Reid Jr, who rushed for 100 yards and two scores on only ten carries, and also threw for 102 yards and one touchdown.

Bartlett Yancey's victory bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Carver, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-4.

As of now, neither Bartlett Yancey nor the Yellowjackets have any future games scheduled.
