Soccer Game Preview: Spoto vs. Leto

The Spoto Spartans are taking a road trip to take on the Leto Falcons at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Spoto is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.2 goals per game this season.

Spoto will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one goal on Friday, then bounced right back against Blake on Tuesday. Spoto narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Blake 4-3. The Spartans better thank their lucky stars for the performance of Nelson Ramirez, as he scored every single goal for his team.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Leto challenged Armwood on Tuesday. Leto fell 2-0 to Armwood. The shutout was out of character for the Falcons seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in December of 2024.

Spoto's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-7-1. As for Leto, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9-1.

Spoto beat Leto 2-0 in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Spoto since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
