Canyon has gone a perfect 10-0 against Hereford recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Eagles are taking a road trip to square off against the Whitefaces at 5:00 p.m. Canyon is coming into the contest hot, having won their last 11 games.

On Tuesday, Canyon got the win against Pampa by a conclusive 7-1.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Tuesday Hereford sidestepped Dumas for a 7-6 win.

Gavin Hill made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched seven innings while giving up five earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. Hill was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brix Machen, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Ethan Subealdea, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.

Hereford kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive matchups.

Canyon's record is now 23-6-1. As for Hereford, their record now sits at 15-10.

Canyon was able to grind out a solid victory over Hereford in their previous matchup back in March, winning 7-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
