Baseball Recap: Orange Comes Up Short

Orange was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Savanna Rebels. The Panthers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Rebels from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Orange saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Myles Kennedy, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Alex Mendoza also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Orange's loss dropped their record down to 6-8-1. As for Savanna, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Orange will host Kennedy at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Savanna, they will head out on the road to challenge Century at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Savanna 2.7, Century 2.3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
