With a playoff win on the line, Parklane Academy rose to the challenge on Friday. They snuck past the Leake Academy Rebels with a 61-57 win. The victory was familiar territory for the Pioneers, who have now won seven games in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Leake Academy lost, don't look at Marleigh Myers. Despite the final result, she made all 7 shots she took racking up 15 points and five boards. Myers is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as she's posted one of at least 63% in the last three games she's played. Sarah Prince was another key player, going 5-for-10 en route to 13 points.

Parklane Academy's win bumped their record up to 18-5. As for Leake Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 32-4.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches.
