Soccer Game Preview: Bloomfield Hills vs. Traverse City West

The Bloomfield Hills Black Hawks will head out to take on the Traverse City West Titans at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Bloomfield Hills took a four-goal defeat the last time they faced off against West Bloomfield, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Black Hawks never let the Lakers get on the board and left with a 1-0 win on Thursday. The game was the first time Bloomfield Hills have beaten West Bloomfield on their pitch since October 4, 2018.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last contest, Traverse City West made sure to put some goals up on the board against Oxford on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 4-1 victory. The game was close at halftime, but Traverse City West turned on the heat in the second half with three goals.

Bloomfield Hills has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two matchups. As for Traverse City West, their record is now 2-0-1.

Bloomfield Hills might still be hurting after the 8-0 loss they got from Traverse City West in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Black Hawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
