Football Game Preview: Camden Panthers vs. Shabazz Bulldogs

The Camden Panthers will face off against the Shabazz Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Camden sitting on seven straight wins and Shabazz on nine.

It was a proper cat-fight when Camden faced off against Eastside on Thursday. The Panthers claimed a resounding 41-0 victory over the Tigers. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won six contests by 28 points or more so far this season.

Camden's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Roman Duckett led the charge by rushing for 85 yards and one score on only nine carries. Ah'Zeir Pagan did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 80 receiving yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Camden was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 269 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in November of 2024.

Camden's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB ten times. It was truly a group effort as Haleem Muhammad, Kaseem Hall, and Jerome Foster picked up two apiece. Foster has been hot recently, having posted at least one sack the last three times he's played. Zahir Andrews got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Shabazz had no problem doing just that last Friday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 36-6 win over the Cardinals. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won seven games by 21 points or more so far this season.

Camden's record now sits at 11-2. As for Shabazz, their record is now 11-1.
