Soccer Game Preview: Delcastle Technical vs. Newark

The Delcastle Technical Cougars will face off against the Newark Yellowjackets at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Delcastle Technical will be strutting in after a victory while Newark will be coming in after a loss.

Delcastle Technical is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Delaware's top teams: Red Lion Christian Academy, who was ranked 25th at the time (Delcastle Technical was ranked 16th). The Cougars' defense stepped up to hand the Lions a 2-0 shutout on Wednesday. The win continues a trend for Delcastle Technical in their matchups with Red Lion Christian Academy: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, Newark fell victim to Hodgson Vo-Tech and their airtight defense on Thursday. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 1-0. Newark have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Delcastle Technical's victory bumped their record up to 7-1-2. As for Newark, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.
