LAS VEGAS, Nev. -
Las Vegas (Nev.) put an additional 10 points on the board on top of its 35-point lead going into the fourth quarter to beat out Valley (Las Vegas, Nev.) 59-14.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Andrew Moreland in the first quarter, the Wildcats were up 35-14 at the half.
Las Vegas expanded its lead to 35 points entering the fourth quarter. LV scored two times in the third, including once on an
Elias Miller touchdown run.
Moreland played well for the Wildcats in the victory. The senior running back ran for three touchdowns. He has now scored 19 touchdowns on the season.
Las Vegas has struggled this season, allowing 30.9 points per game.
LV also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 33-14.
Valley (1-7) will play an I Sunrise - Northeast game against Rancho next week, while Las Vegas (5-3) will take on Canyon Springs also in an I Sunrise - Northeast game.
