Basketball Recap: Boulder Creek Takes a Loss

While it was all tied up 29-29 at halftime, Boulder Creek was not quite Desert Vista's equal in the second half on Friday. They took a 58-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Thunder. The Jaguars have struggled against the Thunder recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Boulder Creek still got an impressive performance from Matthew Delgado, who shot 60% from the field on his way to 21 points and eight rebounds. Delgado also put up two blocks, which were his first of the season. Brayden Newton was another key player, going 7-for-11 to rack up 15 points.

Boulder Creek's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Desert Vista, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-2.
