Soccer Game Preview: Lucy Beckham vs. Berkeley

The Lucy Beckham Bengals will challenge the Berkeley Stags at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Lucy Beckham is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Wando just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 2-1. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Lucy Beckham couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Reagan Soldano, who's now up to 11 this season.

Meanwhile, Berkeley kept a clean sheet against Colleton County on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 3-0 win. Considering Berkeley have won five games by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Lucy Beckham's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 9-5-1. As for Berkeley, their victory bumped their record up to 8-6.

Lucy Beckham took their win against Berkeley in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 9-0 score. Will the Bengals repeat their success, or do the Stags have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
