The Montesano Bulldogs will head out on the road to  challenge  the Rochester Warriors  at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. Montesano is coming into the  game hot, having won their last seven games.
On Saturday, Montesano got the win against College Place  by a conclusive  16-5. Considering the Bulldogs have won 11 contests by more than six  runs this season, Saturday's  blowout was nothing new.
The team  relied heavily on  Ali Parkin, who  went a perfect 4-for-4 with one  home run, four  RBI,  and two  doubles. That's the most  doubles  she has posted  over her last 13  matchups. Another player making a difference was  Jaelyn Butterfield, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with three  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI.
 Montesano was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .600. That's the best  batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile,  after a string of five wins, Rochester's good fortune finally ran out  on Friday. They came up short against  Pe Ell/Willapa Valley, falling  15-6.
  Layna Demers was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 1-for-4 with one  home run and two  runs. The team also got some help courtesy of  Cheyenne Justice, who  got on base  in four of her five plate appearances with one  run.
 Rochester's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Montesano, their win bumped their record up to 15-4-1.
Monday's   game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Montesano hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .408. However, it's not like Rochester struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .381. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
 Montesano beat Rochester 7-3  when the teams last played  back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
