Softball Recap: Magnet Cove Takes a Loss

Magnet Cove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-7 heartbreaker at the hands of the Junction City Dragons. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Panthers have suffered since May 4, 2024.

Madison Schlosser made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with three RBI. Another player making a difference was Jordan Amerson, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

Magnet Cove's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 4-5. As for Junction City, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-9.

Coming up, Magnet Cove will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Parkers Chapel at 4:00 p.m. As for Junction City, they will challenge Minden at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
