Volleyball Recap: Macomb's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Macomb had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came out on top against the Elmwood Trojans by a score of 2-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bombers also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Macomb never let Elmwood on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-17.

Macomb had a senior duo take command as Jordyn Shoopman had seven digs and five aces and Emily Westerhold had nine digs and two assists. Those five aces set a new season-high mark for Shoopman.

Macomb's record is now 17-11. As for Elmwood, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 20-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Macomb will challenge Lincoln at 2:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Elmwood, they will take on Midwest Central at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
