Recap: Gary Bobcats vs. Troup Tigers
The Gary Bobcats lost against the Troup Tigers back in December of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Gary received a tough blow as they fell 38-20 to Troup.
Troup's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bailey Blanton, who scored 7 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals. Ashja Franklin was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Gary bumped their record down to 5-8 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 25.0 points per game. As for Troup, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-2.
Gary will square off against Joaquin at 12:01 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Joaquin focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 on Thursday. Troup won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Slocum at 4:00 p.m. on December 1st. Slocum will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
