Basketball Recap: Clayton Comes Up Short

Clayton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 75-45 loss at the hands of the Boswell Scorpions. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 393rd, while the Scorpions are ranked 183rd).

Clayton's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Boswell, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clayton will take on Bennington at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Boswell, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Coleman at 8:00 p.m. on January 28th. One thing working in Boswell's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine matchups.
