West Union had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt South Pontotoc on Tuesday. The Eagles blew past the Cougars 3-0. The Eagles not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since August 11th (when they won 3-0).

West Union was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-20, 25-18.

Ava Grace Russell paced West Union's offense, picking up four kills. Russell got some help from Taylor Leflore and her 18 assists. Mollie Reaves controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

West Union's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-10. As for South Pontotoc, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-10-2.

West Union wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Byers on the 2nd. As for South Pontotoc, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Hatley on the 28th.
