Caldwell had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Shenandoah on Wednesday. The Redskins put the hurt on the Zeps with a sharp 8-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Redskins, who have now won nine games by seven runs or more so far this season.

The victory (which was Caldwell's fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Shenandoah, they dropped their record down to 0-10 with the defeat, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Caldwell will take on Beallsville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Redskins are facing the Blue Devils at the right time seeing as the Blue Devils are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Shenandoah, they will challenge St. Clairsville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
