Basketball Recap: Mountain Mission Challengers vs. Arlington Christian
Mountain Mission was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took an 86-68 bruising from Arlington Christian. Even if the Challengers couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their offense, which had struggled int the games prior.
It was another big night for Chezi Essel, who almost dropped a triple-double with 18 points, nine rebounds, and 11 assists for Arlington Christian. The dominant performance also gave Essel a new career-high in blocks (four). Tylon Adams was another key player, shooting 75% from the field en route to 21 points and six assists.
Mountain Mission's loss dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Arlington Christian, with the win, they broke their seven-game losing streak and moved their record to 12-7.
As of now, neither Mountain Mission nor Arlington Christian have any future games scheduled.
