Pioneer extended their winning streak to five on Monday, bumping their season record up to 14-5 in the process. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against the Artesia Pioneers. That's two games straight that the Titans have won by just one run.

As for Artesia, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season. Pioneers fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against Pioneer since on Monday.

For Artesia's part, Pacifica Hamilton made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Kaleyse Foster, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Pioneer does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Artesia, they will head out to challenge Cerritos at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pioneers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Dons have averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season.
