Softball Recap: Snowflake Comes Up Short

If Snowflake was feeling good fresh off their 20-0 takedown of Alchesay last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lobos lost 8-2 to the Winslow Bulldogs on Tuesday. The Lobos were red-hot at the plate heading into the contest (they scored no less than ten runs in the four games prior), but the Bulldogs' pitcher proved too tough.

Snowflake saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brynlee Bryant, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Snowflake's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Winslow, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Snowflake will challenge Payson at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Winslow, they will face off against Chino Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight.
