Baseball Recap: Modesto Christian Takes a Loss

Modesto Christian blew Le Grand out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Le Grand got their revenge. The Modesto Christian Crusaders fell just short of the Le Grand Bulldogs by a score of 7-5. That's two games in a row now that the Crusaders have lost by exactly two runs.

Mike Martinez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-4. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Guilano Perez, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Modesto Christian dropped their record down to 2-9 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Le Grand, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Le Grand beat Modesto Christian by a score of 12-2 later that day.
