Baseball Recap: Blackstone-Millville Victorious

Blackstone-Millville's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Sutton Sammies/Suzies 4-2. This was a revenge game for the Chargers: when they faced off against the Sammies/Suzies back in April, they had to take a 12-1 defeat.

James Rebhan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on four hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Zack Bell, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Blackstone-Millville's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-7 and their overall record up to 2-13. As for Sutton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Blackstone-Millville will head out to square off against Keefe Tech at 4:30 p.m. on the 20th. As for Sutton, they will venture away from home to challenge Douglas at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
