Recap: Rio Grande City Rattlers vs. McAllen Memorial Mustangs
The Rio Grande City Rattlers lost against the McAllen Memorial Mustangs back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Rio Grande City took a hard 24-6 fall against McAllen Memorial. Rio Grande City has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Among those leading the charge was Jp Garza, who rushed for 120 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. Jayden Soliz also helped out as he racked up 101 rushing yards.
Rio Grande City has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for McAllen Memorial, their win was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 6-3.
Rio Grande City will take on Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North at 7:30 p.m. on November 3rd. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line. As for McAllen Memorial, they will head out on the road to face off against McAllen at 7:30 p.m. on November 3rd.
