Basketball Recap: Warrensburg Takes a Loss

Warrensburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They were dealt a 77-36 loss at the hands of the Republic Tigers. While losing is never fun, Warrensburg can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 487th, while Republic is ranked 13th).

Warrensburg's defeat dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Republic, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-2.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Warrensburg Tigers face off against the Harrisonville Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Harrisonville's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups. As for Republic, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 56-44 win against Thayer on the 31st.
