Soccer Recap: Corinth Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Corinth unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They lost 7-1 to the Mayfield Panthers on Friday. If Corinth were looking for revenge after losing 1-0 to Mayfield when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Mayfield's victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Looking ahead, Corinth is headed away from home for the first time to challenge Cambridge at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Mayfield, they will look to take advantage of their home pitch for the first time this season as they take on Berne-Knox-Westerlo at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The match will give Mayfield their first taste of in-conference action this season.
