Basketball Game Preview: Asheville T Trailblazers vs. IC Imagine Kingfishers

The Asheville T Trailblazers will venture away from home to take on the IC Imagine Kingfishers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Asheville T has given up an average of 52.8 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Asheville T came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were outmatched by Bob Jones Academy and fell 68-32.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Stephen Covington, who posted nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Long, who put up seven points.

Meanwhile, IC Imagine had already won five in a row dating back to last season (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Bobcats 73-41. The Kingfishers pushed the score to 52-26 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bobcats had little chance of recovering from.

IC Imagine's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Asheville T, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Asheville T strolled past IC Imagine when the teams last played back in January by a score of 52-33. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trailblazers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
