Philipsburg-Osceola has gone 7-1 against Punxsutawney recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Mountaineers will venture away from home to square off against the Chucks at 4:30 p.m.

They lost 13-3 to Bald Eagle Area. The defeat continues a trend for the Mountaineers in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost six in a row.

Emily Gustkey was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Vaughn, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Punxsutawney never let their opponents score on Monday. They blew past West Shamokin 9-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Chucks.

The team relied heavily on Brynn Hergert, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sara Gotwald, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Punxsutawney kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as West Shamokin only managed three hits.
