Recap: Archie Whirlwinds vs. Drexel/Miami
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Archie Whirlwinds had no problem doing just that on Friday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 85-18 victory over Drexel/Miami. The win was just business as usual for Archie, who after 12 games remain undefeated this season.
Ethan Dayringer and Cole Kimbrough certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Dayringer gained 145 total yards and a touchdown, while Kimbrough picked up 99 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Archie's win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-0. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 59.3 points. As for Drexel/Miami, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4.
Archie will face off against Lockwood at TBD on Friday. Lockwood is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Drexel/Miami does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
