Cyril came tearing into Saturday's game with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 37 points), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Smithville Braves as they made off with a 74-50 win. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Pirates' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 31st, while the Braves are ranked 270th).

Cyril's victory bumped their record up to 16-1. As for Smithville, they now have a losing record of 11-12.

Cyril has already played their next contest, an 80-60 win against Mangum on the 9th. As for Smithville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 38-34 loss against Red Oak on the 10th.
