Winter Springs and Wesley Chapel squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Winter Springs had to settle for second. They came up short against the Wildcats, falling 15-3. The Bears' loss signaled the end of their 14-game winning streak.

Winter Springs got a good showing from Ben Filler, who didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Filler has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances.
