Softball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is King's Academy's 11th in Last 13 Outings

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but King's Academy had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Live Oak Acorns by a score of 3-0. Three seems to be a good number for the Knights as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Katia Nesper was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out 18 over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in 15 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one triple and two RBI.

Nesper wasn't the only one making solid contact as six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Mia Bennette, who went 1-for-4 with one run and one double.

King's Academy has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Live Oak, they moved to 24-3 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

As of now, neither King's Academy nor the Acorns have any future games scheduled.
