Basketball Recap: Round Rock's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Tuesday

Round Rock won the last time they faced Vista Ridge and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Round Rock Dragons took down the Vista Ridge Rangers 51-33. Given the Dragons' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 135th, while the Rangers are ranked 349th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Several Rangers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gavin Howard, who posted ten points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Kuehn, who had seven points.

The win made it two in a row for Round Rock and bumps their season record up to 18-8. As for Vista Ridge, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-13.

Round Rock will be playing in front of their home fans against McNeil at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Vista Ridge, they will venture away from home to square off against Stony Point at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Stony Point's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
