            Baseball Recap: La Pine Hawks vs. Creswell Bulldogs        
        
		
        
        
            After flying high against Elmira  on Friday, La Pine came back down to earth. The Hawks took  a  7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Creswell Bulldogs on Tuesday. The Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in May of 2024.
 La Pine saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Bryson Adams, who  went 1-for-2 with one  run.
La Pine has also traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record  this season. Those  defeats can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 6.3 runs over those games. As for Creswell, the  victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-5.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. La Pine is set to  face off against  their familiar foe Pleasant Hill  at 3:00  p.m.  on Friday. Meanwhile, Creswell will  challenge  rival Sisters  at 2:00  p.m.  on Friday.
