Basketball Game Preview: Webster City Lynx vs. Northwest Webster Cougars

After both having extra time off, the Webster City Lynx and the Northwest Webster Cougars will shake off the cobwebs and square off against one another at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Webster City will be strutting in after a win while Northwest Webster will be coming in after a loss.

Webster City will bounce into Friday's game after beating Algona, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Webster City came out on top against Algona by a score of 54-47 last Friday.

Meanwhile, Northwest Webster's undefeated season came to an end after seven games last Friday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 52-51 to Newell-Fonda. The matchup marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Northwest Webster fell to 7-1. As for Webster City, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Everything came up roses for Webster City against Northwest Webster in their previous matchup back in January of 2020, as the team secured a 75-36 victory. Does Webster City have another victory up their sleeve, or will Northwest Webster turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
