Basketball Game Preview: Lab University Prep National Kings vs. Legion Collegiate Academy Lancers

The Lab University Prep National Kings will head out on the road to square off against the Legion Collegiate Academy Lancers at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Last Friday, Lab University Prep National came up short against Covenant Day and fell 57-46. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Kings came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 16th, while the Lions are ranked 175th).

Meanwhile, Legion Collegiate Academy came tearing into Wednesday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 43.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 60-34 win. The Lancers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 26 points or more this season.

Legion Collegiate Academy is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.5 points per game. As for Lab University Prep National, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.
