Baseball Recap: Leman Manhattan Prep's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Leman Manhattan Prep came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 11-3 to the York Prep Panthers. The loss put an end to the Bull's undefeated start to the season.

Leman Manhattan Prep saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Riku Kaizuka, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and one stolen base. Kaizuka is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Hudson Scher was another, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-1.

Leman Manhattan Prep dropped their record down to 2-1 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for York Prep, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Leman Manhattan Prep is set to challenge their familiar foe St. Ann's at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, York Prep will face off against rival Calhoun at 4:00 p.m. on the 24th. The game will give the Panthers their first taste of in-conference action this season.
