Football Game Preview: Manasquan Warriors vs. Colts Neck Cougars

The Manasquan Warriors will take on the Colts Neck Cougars at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Manasquan will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Manasquan had to skate by with only a one-point margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 20-point drubbing they dealt Brick Township on Friday. The Warriors put the hurt on the Green Dragons with a sharp 34-14 win. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won three contests by 20 points or more so far this season.

Ace Etienne had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 183 yards and three TDs while picking up 8.7 yards per carry. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in September of 2024.

Meanwhile, Colts Neck fell victim to Ocean Township and their airtight defense on Saturday. They came up short against the Spartans, falling 22-0. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Cougars were not able to get on the board.

Colts Neck's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Manasquan, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.

Everything came up roses for Manasquan against Colts Neck in their previous matchup back in October of 2018, as the squad secured a 40-6 win. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
