Buena Vista is a perfect 7-0 against Centauri since June of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Demons will be playing at home against the Falcons at 3:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Tuesday.
Centauri will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Buena Vista extended their winning streak to four on Monday. The Demons never let Clear Creek get on the board and left with a 13-0 victory. Give the Demons' pitching crew some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Knox Reid was incredible, firing off two home runs and five RBI while going 3-for-3. Those two home runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Reed Lundy, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Buena Vista hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Clear Creek struck out ten times.
Meanwhile, after only one run in their last match, Centauri made sure to put some runs up on the board against Trinidad on Monday. The Falcons blew past the Miners 23-5. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Falcons' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.
Leland Chacon was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He pitched two innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Centauri is 4-2 when Chacon posts two or more runs, but 4-12 otherwise.
In other batting news, Centauri got a massive performance out of Warren Shelton, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with five RBI, three runs, and one triple. Shelton has become a key player for the Falcons: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-13 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Kamryn Garcia, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI.
Buena Vista's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-11. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Centauri, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-14.
Buena Vista took their victory against Centauri in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 17-5 score. Will the Demons repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
