Baseball Game Preview: Park Rangers vs. Beaverhead County Beavers

Park is preparing for their first region matchup of the season on Tuesday. They will look to defend their home field against the Beaverhead County Beavers at 2:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Saturday, Park beat Laurel 7-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rangers.

Meanwhile, Beaverhead County had to kick off their season on the road last Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past Corvallis 13-3.

Sawyer Tackett and Cohen Hartman made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Tackett tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Hartman pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. At the plate, Tackett went 1-for-2 with two runs, while Hartman went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. The dominant performance also gave Hartman a new career-high in RBI (two).

In other batting news, Andrew Bartlome was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2025. Garrett Tackett was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
