Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Woodland Regional walked away with it. They never let the Portland Highlanders get on the board and left with a 9-0 win on Monday. Considering the Hawks have won nine games by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Woodland Regional has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-13 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Portland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-13.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Woodland Regional beat the Highlanders by a score of 10-0 later that day.
